In her 95th year, passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in the early morning hours on July 12, 2015. Predeceased by her parents, Franjo and Dora Katovcic and her sister and brother in law, Dragica and Jakob Katovcic of Croatia. Sadly missed by her surviving sister Marica and her brother- in-law, the late Joza Stipkovic of Croatia. Widowed for over 70 years, she is together again with her late husband Jakob. Loved mother of daughter Bozica and her son-in-law, the late Frank Dumlin. Reunited with loved son, the late Stjepan Samarin and remembered by her daughter-in-law Danica. Lovingly cherished and missed by her grandchildren Barbara and Peter Scott, Anne and Steven Watt, Steven and Kathryn Samarin, Jennifer and Alex Burns and ten great-grand-children. She will be missed by many family and friends in Croatia and Canada. Special thanks to Dr. Naidoo, the staff at Waterdown Manor, Nurse Kara and the staff on 4-East. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, (905-844-2600) from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Vigil at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Holy Trinity Croatian Roman Catholic Church, 2110 Trafalgar Road, Oakville. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Holy Trinity Croatian Roman Catholic Church.
