It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara De Caire beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023, in Burlington, Ontario at the age of 96.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, to William Edward and Georgina Wilhemina Tyner. Barbara grew up with a deep love for animals and nature. She instilled this passion in her children, encouraging them to appreciate the beauty and wonder of the natural world. She had an adventurous spirit she loved to travel and held a deep connection to Canada's west coast especially the mountains and ocean.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Hubert De Caire, her sons, Norman and Jean-Paul, and her Grandsons Mathew De Caire, Andrew De Caire and Nathan Adamson. She is survived by her loving children: Lynn, Suzanne (John), Lorne (Liz), Danny (Louise), Yvonne, Lise (Martin), Chris (Joe), Julie (Hans), Michele (Chris), and Janette (Kelly); along with 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and close family friend Mary-Jean MacDonald.

Barbara's family will remember her as a pillar of strength, a source of unwavering love, and a woman who always put the needs of others first. Her infectious laughter, warm embrace, and genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Barbara's kindness extended beyond her family to all living creatures. She was a devoted supporter of the Oakville Milton Humane Society and The Nature Conservancy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara's memory to either of these organizations that held a special place in her heart.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 28 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home (64 Lakeshore Road West Oakville, Ontario). A memorial service honoring Barbara's life will be held at 11:00 AM on November 29th at the same location, followed by a reception with light refreshments.
