Audrey 'Lorraine' Redshaw, 93, of Oakville, Ontario passed away peacefully in her sleep February 10 th , 2023. She was born in Toronto, Ontario to Harvey and Jeanette Richmond and moved to Oakville at the age of 11 with her 2 sisters Dolores (Baird) and Lynne (Hilson), and brother Bill. She attended Oakville Trafalgar High School where she first discovered her love of painting.
After leaving High School, Lorraine worked for Bell Canada manning the switchboard, followed by Streights Jewelers. She then worked for many years at Halton Peel Trust which later became TD Canada Trust at Trafalgar and Lakeshore.
She is predeceased by her husband Allen who she was married to for 61 years. She is survived by her sons Richard (Gayle), and Robert (Erin) along with her grandchildren Samantha (Darin), Robin (Sean), Scott (Brenna), and Graham (Lindsay) and great-grandchildren Rielly and Frankie.
She was a devoted member of Knox Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, a Sunday School Teacher, and led Bible Study for many years. She was an avid volunteer serving on many volunteer committees including a Brownie Leader as well as being an original member of the Minor Oaks Hockey MOMs Association.
Her talent and love of painting is displayed in the balcony of Knox's Church north window on Lakeshore Road as she was commissioned to do a painting in preparation for the stained-glass window. The love of her family, grandchildren, her hometown, and the Bruce Peninsula are also memorialized in her beautiful oil paintings.
Lorraine and Allen spent every summer at Sauble Beach, building unforgettable memories with their families and developing many special friendships that will always hold a special place in everyone's hearts.
Visitation, Funeral Service, and Reception will all be held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home on Lakeshore Road in Oakville on Thursday February 16 th .
Visitation from noon – 2 pm
Funeral Service at 2 pm
Reception following the Funeral Service
In lieu of Flowers and in remembrance of Lorraine, we ask that donations be directed towards the Canadian Cancer Society
