IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Audrey Eileen
(Leaver) Webb Turner
February 14, 1912 – May 22, 2018
Adored Mother, Nana, and Nana GiGi, Audrey passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018, surrounded by family and friends at Queen's Avenue Retirement Residence in Oakville. Audrey spent a remarkable 106 years on the planet, graced with wit and wisdom until her final days. Audrey was the sole daughter of Alfred and Clara, and caring sister to Earl, Ross and Donald. Her first happy marriage to Herbert (Bub) Webb produced four children - Keith, John, Wendy and Susan - 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was also loving "Aunt Aud" to the Lockyer clan. Her second marriage to Fred Turner later in life welcomed step-children Lloyd and Marilyn, two grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren into her family.
She lived her days in Oakville and watched with pride as the Town grew and prospered. She enjoyed cottage trips to Burton's Cliffs on Lake Rosseau, where she learned to swim but never quite got the knack of diving; her belly-flop attempts were legendary. A long-time member of the St. John's United Church family, Audrey volunteered for years until age slowed her down. She enjoyed discovering new things as much as she loved to reminisce about the old days. Nan was always the best source to learn about the latest happenings with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts, but her life filled our hearts with joy. We'll miss you Nana Banana!
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's United Church or the Kerr Street Ministries would be appreciated.
Memorial Service: Saturday, June 2, 4:00 p.m. at St. John's United Church, Oakville.
