Passed away calmly and at peace at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Born on March 2, 1927 in Grandola, Portugal. Tony immigrated to Canada in 1956 and became a pillar of the Portuguese community through his efforts and leadership to new Canadians. Beloved husband of the late Margarida. Cherished father of Joseph Paixao and his partner Marsha Thurlin, Carlos Paixao and his wife Kathleen Morkin, Ann Marie Paixao-Pauk and her husband Ron. Loving grandfather of Justin and Whitney Paixao, Miguel Paixao and his wife Gia. Will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) from 6-9 pm Friday. Funeral service 1:00 pm Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel. Interment Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
