Peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Anne for 63 years. Cherished father of Michael, Monica, Angela, Helen, Rachel, Sarah and Matthew. Loved Poppa to 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Born in Wellington, Shropshire, England, Anthony and his family immigrated to Canada in 1966 and settled in Oakville. Tony was a deeply respected family physician in England and Canada for over 50 years. His fascination with model railroads filled most of his spare time. Other interests included aviation, sparked by time early in his career as a doctor in the Royal Air Force in post war Britain. Later in life Tony developed an interest in sailing spending time with family on Lake Ontario. A private burial has taken place. A service to celebrate Anthony's life and work will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds St Oakville on Saturday March 7th at 11 am. A reception will follow at the St Andrew's parish center from 12:15 – 2:00 In lieu of flowers donations to Myeloma Canada or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
