Anthony "Tony" Ronald Lupton passed away peacefully in his 79th year on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family at Wyndham Manor Long Term Care Centre in Oakville.  

Tony was born in Lytham St. Annes on February 13, 1947, the cherished  son of the late Eric and Nan Lupton. He will be dearly missed by his wife Irene, and his sons Paul and Mark; daughter-in-law Nicole; grandchildren, Julia, Gavin, and Mic; and his loyal dog Sunny. Tony met Irene in Blackpool, where they married in 1969 and went on to spend the next 56 years together. They moved to Canada in the mid-1970s to raise their family and start a new chapter. 

Tony worked for over 25 years at Scotiabank, where he was a well-respected project manager. An avid record collector and reader, Tony also enjoyed vacationing in the Caribbean with Irene, where they forged manylasting friendships.  

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who cared for Tony over the past year, especially the staff at Wyndham Manor and Chartwell. We cannot thank you enough for the dignity and respect you showed him. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony’s name may be made to Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville.
