Anne lived a quiet, self-deprecating life. She dressed modestly in dark colours but her soul was vibrant: her walls were yellow, then green followed by turquoise and her artwork was stained glass in oil pastels on paper. A lover of photography, Anne took classes at Sheridan College with dramatically improved results in her work and was the woman behind the camera at family gatherings so pictures of Anne were hard to find. She held a strong resemblance to our Aunt Helen and our paternal grandmother which kept those strong women close to us even after their passing.

Following more than  30 years of heavy smoking and a further 14 years of heavy vaping, Anne was diagnosed just 2 months before her death. She agreed had she understood what dying of lung cancer was like she would have mended her ways. But hind sight is perfect and life is what we make it.Anne was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Neil Turnbull (2001) and her youngest sister Margaret (2014). She has left behind her sister and roommate Helen and family and friends across Canada.

Anne's funeral will be held in the chapel at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) on Thursday June 26, 2025 a 1 o'clock pm, with interment at St. Jude's Cemetery to follow. (258 Lakeshore Rd. W, Oakville)
