Anne Cauterman (Horions) passed away at Carpenter Hospice Friday, March 6th in her 101st year. Born June 7th, 1925, Anne immigrated to Canada in March of 1951 with her husband Emmanuel (25 year employee of Toronto Star) and shared a wonderful life with four children, Ray (deceased) – Jamie (deceased), Suzanne – Ean Algar, Danielle – David Eakins, and Michael – Teri Jaklin. Anne is the last of 12 children of Denis and Matilda Horions in Kontich, Belgium. Anne continued active relationships and fond memories with nieces and nephews both in Belgium and here in Canada, including five she remembered the birthdays of Jim, Astrid, Sonja, Lynn and Glenn Cauterman/McKibbin. Her life was filled with joyful memories of the St. James Catholic Church Community in Oakville and later resided in Burlington to be nearer her children and grandchildren, Nicole (Jason), Christopher (Stephanie), Nicholas (Sarah), Shawn (Jennie) and great grandchildren, Nick, Jake, John, George, Hanalei and Liam.

Annes final years were spent enjoying Independent Living at Heritage Place where she developed many lasting friendships and memories.

Anne was so appreciative of her 100th birthday celebration in June, 2025. where she saw many family members and friends. A celebration/service in lieu of a Catholic mass, will be held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12th. Informal gathering at 10 AM for immediate family and close friends will be followed by brief service at 11AM.
