It is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Anna Hrabowyj in her 88th year.
She passed away on Thursday July 21, 2022 with her family by her side. Happily, she will join Josafat (d.1999), her loving husband of 34 years. She is survived by her loving son Jon (Maria), her grandchildren Natalia, Daniel and David, brother Jan Sokacz and family as well as extended family in Poland.
Her life centred around her family, her church and her gardens. She was an expert at spoiling her grandchildren, never missing a school concert or soccer game. She would attend church every Sunday and Holiday and meeting with her friends at church to make perogies was a weekly highlight. Her flower and vegetable gardens were her pride and joy. She would always complain that there was too much to tend and she would cut back, but every year the gardens only seemed to get bigger and bigger.
The latter years of her life were more difficult as she battled Dementia and was confined to a wheelchair.
Special thanks to the staff at Northridge Long Term Care for their understanding and the wonderful, caring and attentive support they provided the last 7 years.
