With heavy hearts, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease, we announce that Ann Fife passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024. Predeceased by her parents Myrtle Lavila Dawes Lea and James Carson Lea. She will forever be in the hearts of her two children, Brad (Kelly) and Megan (Augusto), as well as her adored grandchildren Bodan, James, Matthew, Breanna, Rowen, and Abbey and her great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Lynda (late Bill) and the late John (Gail).  Born as Viola Ann Lea, she will be remembered for her great empathy of all things small. She was an avid animal, nature, and music lover. Her happiest times as a child were her many summers spent in Manitoulin Island with her cousins. Later, she enjoyed her camping trips with her father, many trips to Cuba with her sister, and spending precious time with her grandchildren. She worked as a Personal Support Worker in Halton for over twenty years. Her career was a reflection of her caring and compassionate nature. Ann spent her final years of life at Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care home in Shelburne where she was surrounded by a wonderfully caring staff.  As per Ann's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial service will be held in her honour at a later date. A tree will be planted in memory of Ann in the Dods and McNair Memorial Forest at Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or to Cats Anonymous Rescue and Adoption in East Garafraxa.

Mom, you were the bravest woman I know. No more suffering. Rest in peace.
