Ann Lorraine Cooke

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Lorraine Cooke who died peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on her 84th birthday after a brief illness.

Ann leaves behind her daughter Kathy (Chris) and her son Peter (Jess). She was a proud grandma to Matt, Josh, Jeff and Chris and great-grandma to Cameron.

She was born in Seaforth and grew up in Clinton. She raised her family in Ottawa and Kitchener before eventually settling in Barrie and Angus in her later years. As a mature adult she completed high school then went on to attend Wilfred Laurier University where she got an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters Of Social Work. She dedicated her career to Family and Children Services where she supported families with incredible compassion and patience.

Ann was known for her beautiful smile that would light up a room. She enjoyed travel and an active lifestyle and will be missed by her many friends including the Library Ladies, the social room gang, the Rosy Gals, fellow Probus members and countless travel companions.
