Angelito "Eggie" Solis, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and sibling, peacefully passed away on March 24, 2024, in Oakville, ON, at the age of 62. Born on June 08, 1961, in Cavite, Philippines, to Maria and Bartolome Solis, Angelito's life was a testament to love, warmth, and kindness.
Raised in Cavite by his parents Maria and Bartolome Solis, Angelito was nurtured with values of family, compassion, and hard work. He completed his education at Far Eastern University before embarking on a journey of love and companionship.
In Riyadh, Angelito met the love of his life, Perla Collado, and their union on July 11, 1988, in the Philippines marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Angelito cherished his role as a devoted husband to Perla, a loving father to their children Krimshan & Ellen, Neil & Eizvone, Angelica & fiancè Dominic, and a doting grandfather to Natalie Reyne.
Beyond his immediate family, Angelito is survived by his mother, Maria Solis, his siblings Enrico, Rosario and Susan, nieces/nephews and grand nieces/nephews. Family was his pride and joy, and his support, love, and guidance were unwavering. He found immense joy in spending time with his family, especially his cherished granddaughter, who he fondly calls "NatNat" who held a special place in his heart.
Angelito's passion for cooking brought joy to many, as he delighted in preparing delicious meals, including his famous baked chicken, BBQ ribs, steak, and seafood creations. He also found solace in simple pleasures like leisurely walks, watching movies, gardening and playing with pets Bimby & Sparkles.
One of Angelito's greatest acts of love was caring for his father, Bartolome, before his passing, showcasing his selfless dedication to family.
Angelito Solis will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, resonant voice, and unwavering love for his family. Though preceded in death by his father, Bartolome Solis, his memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
May his soul rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will take place at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville Saturday April 6, 2024 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 1:00 pm
