LAGOWSKI: Andrew (Andrzej)
Born in Wegrow, Poland on December 16, 1917. He was a Junior Officer in the Polish Calvary during WWII; afterwards he graduated with a Law Degree from the University of Munich in 1948 and came to Canada later that year. He married Joanna Lagowski in 1949. Beloved father of Krystyna, Larry and his wife Marion Lagowski. Loving companion of Rex #1, Rex #2 and generous feeder of squirrels and birds at the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence, where he last resided. He worked at Westinghouse Canada for 32 years. Long time member of the Oakville Multicultural Society. Died peacefully, on Wednesday, December 20, 2006. The family expresses their appreciation for the sincere compassion and excellent care provided by the doctors, nurses, chaplain and staff of the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. If desired, memorial contributions to the O.T.M.H. Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) Oakville on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto at a later date.
