On Saturday, January 3rd, 2015, with her family at her side in her 82nd year, Andrea, very dear wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully left this earth. She will be missed by her loving husband Peter, sons Bert, Ashley, Dwight, loving grandson Andrew, and daughter-in-laws Jennifer and Niki. She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law Yvonne and brother-in-law John and her many nieces and nephews, as well as her many caring friends. Andrea lived her life fearlessly and was a fiercely proud mother whose family was always her focus, even when she pursued a successful career in real estate in Oakville for more than 10 years. Andrea loved her life in Oakville and she and Peter enjoyed being a part of the Oakville Yacht Squadron and later the Oakville Club's sailing community for many years. She also spent many active years volunteering in the community both at her church and at the local hospital. Visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 on Sunday, January 11, 2015. A service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn St., Oakville at 10:00am, with a reception to follow at The Oakville Club, 56 Water Street, Oakville. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation (donate.sunnybrook.ca) would be greatly appreciated.
