Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Andrea Priverts on Sat. July 10, 2021, from injuries sustained in a rail accident in Milton, Ont.

Andrea was born on June 14, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario to parents, Karen and Peter Priverts, and welcomed by her 4-year old big sister, Kristina.  She came into the world with a smile on her face, and was the happiest, most vibrant child that lit up any room she entered.  She had the warmest heart, and kindest soul, always putting the needs of others before her own.

She was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all.

Her children, Jaxon (11) and Karlena (5) were her pride and joy.  She cherished them with all of her heart, playing games, doing crafts or singing songs with them.  And when play-time was over, you'd find her reading to them or teaching them their ABC's and 123's.

Her nephews, Kevin (17) and Nick (14) gave her lots of practice for motherhood!  She loved taking her nephews for sleepovers, on day trips, and just spending quality time with them.  Aunty Andy was that fun aunt that made parents seem boring!

Andrea had an artistic flair, and excelled in anything that required her creative energy.   She danced and figure skated as a child, and stole the show at her school plays and productions.  She was a talented artist, and loved to draw or paint anything from murals to portraits.  In her adult years, she worked as a hairstylist and used her creative energy to make people beautiful.  Most recently, during Covid, she worked in landscaping to make gardens look beautiful.

Although Andrea's life was tragically cut short, her energetic spirit will live forever in the hearts and minds of those who loved her.

In addition to the immediate family members mentioned above she is survived by three aunts and an uncle and their respective families, and a great uncle.

Due to COVID screening attendance at the visitation is by appointment only.  Click on the link at the top of the obituary to sign up.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 21 ^st from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville.  A Funeral Service for family and close friends will be held at the same location on Thursday, July 22 ^nd at 1:00pm.

As an expression of sympathy, instead of flowers, the family would welcome donations to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

Unfortunately a reception will not be possible after the funeral, due to Covid restrictions, but a memorial gathering for family and close friends will be scheduled at a later date.
