Amy Anne Evelyn Snow
April 27, 1979 - October 28, 2021
Amy Snow, a beautiful, intelligent, humble and considerate soul, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2021, shortly after sunrise, with family by her side.
A fan of soul music and good tunes, oceanside views, desert heat, scenic drives, colourful cocktails, theatre, and good food, Amy was a joy to experience things with. Those who met Amy were often touched by her warmth and kindness; she was a special presence to those around her. Amy was an avid reader and talented writer. She was a great listener, and always generous. Her gifts to others were often unintentional, and her intentional gifts were thoughtful and authentic.
Amy was an outstanding and dedicated mother with an exceptional ability to provide her daughter Eloise with a daily blend of love and laughter. She deeply admired Eloise's creativity and confidence, and guided Eloise in a way that was nothing short of inspirational. Amy will be forever cherished as "the best mama in the world".
Following graduation from St. Thomas University in Fredericton, NB, Amy began her insurance career in Toronto. Most recently, Amy worked as a Case Manager for Manulife where she was recognized for the compassion and care she provided to her clients.
Amy is survived by her beloved and devoted fiancé, Alan; her loving parents, Colleen and Wayne; her brother Jordan (who always made Amy laugh); her witty, talented and beautiful daughter, Eloise (who always made Amy smile); her grandmother Helen who Amy cherished and admired, and held a special place in Amy's heart; several special aunts – her "northern stars" who showered her with guidance and unconditional love; and several uncles, cousins and close friends.
She will be missed dearly and leaves a void in the lives and hearts of many.
A private funeral mass took place at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Oakville, ON, on Thursday, Nov 4, 2021., Amy's final resting place will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Saint John, NB., where she will be surrounded by generations of family.
A warm and special thanks to the palliative care team at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) for the exceptional care provided. The family will be directing donations to the palliative care team at OTMH - for those who wish to make a donation in honour of Amy, Click the link: In memory of Amy Snow
