After a full and meaningful life, Alma died on Friday September 5, 2008, at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Predeceased by her husband William, her brothers Laurie and Bert Wishart, her son William (Billy) and her great granddaughter Devon Guthrie. Beloved mother of Rhody (Neil Sadler), Sally (the late Ross Armstrong), Heather (James Strickland) and Billy. Proud Gammie of Stephanie (Scott Guthrie), Jennifer (Ron Warren), Heather (Lance Rishor), Peter (Piya Chattopadhyay), Anna (Greg MacQuarrie), Christy, and Scott (Kim Kuok) and Great Gammie of Teghan, William, Zachary, A.J. and Julia.Dear sister and sister in law of Mylie and Loraine Wishart, Marion Stewart and Bertha Wishart. Best remembered as a friend to everyone who came through her kitchen and for her pride in being a Royal Victoria nurse. The family extends its grateful thanks to the caring staff at OTMH and in particular, nurses Ke, Joanne, Nimmy, Dawn, Lucy, Melissa and Nne; and to her friends at the Kensington Retirement Residence. Funeral service to be held September 9 at 11 AM at St. John's United Church in Oakville at 262 Randall St, Oakville. Reception to follow.
