It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Allison (Ali) Dale Downey. A beautiful and engaging force in any room she entered, Ali will be missed by all who knew her.
Ali is survived by her parents Katherine Downey and Dale Downey (Mary Georgopoulos) and her sisters Nancy Downey and Laura Downey. Aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all mourn her loss; Ali leaves a devastating hole in our lives. Ali spent her school years in Toronto and Aurora and summers swimming in Coboconk and Moira Lake with a plethora of cousins. Ali lived and worked in Toronto after her undergraduate degree at Guelph University. She was a long time member of Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment family. She enjoyed basketball, travel and good meals with good friends.  Ali always loved and took great joy in making people laugh.

A private family funeral is planned. There will be a family and friends Celebration of Life reception at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville, on Sunday March 3rd from 2-4 pm. The family is grateful to all those who have reached out and shared their favourite memories and pictures. Grief is the price we pay for love.
