Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Ian Anderson House in Oakville. Allen came to Canada in 1953, he was born in Groningen, The Netherlands. A graduate of Civil Engineering from Delft University. He loved his work and was a devoted family man. Allen is survived by his loving wife Alyce of 57 years, his four children, Allan and Louise Prior, Patrick Prior, Rebecca and Gerry Dearing, Ionah and Bruce Winters, his grandchildren Nathan, Spencer, Kaileigh, Conor, Lauren, Austin and Logan. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Eddenden and the staff of Ian Anderson House and all his caregivers during his illness. A Memorial in his honour will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 4 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ian Anderson House would be appreciated by the family.
