Al was born in Oakville and educated there and in his youth was a member of the Town of Oakville Band, he was a proud Platoon Chief of the Oakville Fire Department and in his retirement, owner of Top of the Hill Antiques in Bala. A quiet man, devoted to his family and honourable in his dealings with others and always willing to lend a hand.
