Passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 25, 2021 in her 95 ^th year.  Until just a few weeks ago she had lived independently in her own home, on her own terms, as she had done all her adult life.

Alice was born at home in 1926 in Belfast, Northern Ireland to Alice Kirkpatrick and Alexander Graham, who in total had twelve children, nine of whom grew to adulthood, and Alice found herself right in the middle of that brood.  In 1958, she left Belfast and joined some of her siblings in Canada to begin a new life with new opportunities.  After trying her hand at various jobs, Alice found her most rewarding work as a nursing assistant at the Orthopedic and Arthritic Hospital in Toronto where she remained for 20 years until her retirement in 1989.  Alice devoted herself to her work and often said that she felt privileged to be paid for doing something she loved so much.

Alice retired and moved to Oakville to be closer to family, and quickly became involved in her church and community, making many friends who remained in her life until the end.  She was a loyal friend who took a genuine interest in everyone and everything around her.  She was a proud aunt of many nieces and nephews (and later, great nieces and nephews) in Canada, the U.S, and Northern Ireland, and was generous with her time and her kindness toward each one.  Alice's faith in God was unwavering, and she spoke openly and without fear about her readiness for what lies beyond this life.

She is pre-deceased by seven brothers and sisters, and survived by her youngest sister, Ida Currie.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held on Friday, April 30th at Woodland Cemetery  700 Spring Garden Rd, Burlington.  Family flowers only please, at Alice's request.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chartwell Baptist Church in Oakville , or the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
