Obituary

DICAIRE, Alice Marie-Anne (née Dufresne)

January 29, 1918 - March 21, 2009

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice at the age of 91. Daughter of the late William Dufresne and Anna-Eugenie (née Leroux), Alice was born in Corbeil. After moving from Corbeil, she resided in Mississauga and Oakville. Peacefully in her sleep, our Mom passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009 to join her beloved husband of 40 years, Rheal Dicaire who died in 1975.

Alice was strong-willed and will be remembered for her love of life and of children. She has also been reunited with her 9 sisters and 4 brothers. Also predeceased by her dear grandson, Rheal St. Amour. Sadly missed by her six daughters - Claire St. Amour (Jean-Paul) of Corbeil, ON, Louise Landry (Don) of Oakville, ON, Rita Trudel of Burlington, ON, Cecile Levangie (Seward) of Antigonish, NS, Rejeanne Dicaire of Brampton, ON, and Yvonne Martin (Jeff) of Syracuse, NY.

She was "Memère" to 15 grandchildren, Simone, Denise, Jean-Paul Jr., Carole, the late Rheal, Claudette, Michelle, Patricia, Donald Jr., Roger, Jo-Anne, Seward Jr., Cody, Guy, and Philip. "Grand-Memère" to 22 great-grandchildren, Jacques, Justin, Joshua, Stephanie, Jessica, Hilary, Jayd, Isaihya, Patrick, Madeleine, Margaret, Luke, Grace, David, Danielle, Julie, Vincent, Sophie, Cori, Ryan, Zoe, and Hailey and "Grand-Grand-Memère" to 3 great-greatgrandchildren, Ethan, Jasper, and Noah. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as so many close friends.

The family wishes to extend many thanks to the patient and kind staff at The Waterford LTCF for their professional and loving care of Alice while The Waterford was her home for the past five years. Alice was a lifetime member of The Catholic Women's League and had the priviledge of taking the trip of a lifetime to the Holy land when she was 80.

Funeral Mass at Eglise Sacré-Coeur, Corbeil, ON and internment at Corbeil Cemetery (date to be confirmed).

Because of her great love of children and her past involvement in foster care, in lieu of flowers, donations to The Children's Aid Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
