Alice, age 98, passed away peacefully on November 8th 2023 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Born on Christmas Eve 1924 in Green Bay, Prince Edward Island, Alice lived a full and vibrant life and made an impression on all who knew her.

Alice left the family farm as a teenager and moved to Charlottetown, PEI to finish her education and from there on to an exciting career working in Ottawa, New York, Montreal and Calgary.

Alice met her husband Fremont Bowick in Montreal and went on to have 3 children, Dianne, Michael, and Catherine. Dianne passed away as an infant and then when Michael and Catherine were young, Alice became a single mother when Fremont passed away suddenly.

Despite setback and tragedy Alice was never daunted and raised a family while also working full time. Her determination to succeed was evident throughout her life, even in her tennis game. She took up tennis late in life yet was still able to play with, and beat, players 20 years younger than her while she was well into her 80's.

Alice is survived by her daughter Catherine, her son Michael, her daughter-in-law Joanne, and her granddaughters Rachel and Laura.

Funeral Mass will be held for Alice at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 22nd at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville.
