Alexander (Alex) Russell passed away peacefully on Friday January 27th, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 86th year. Loving husband of Andree (nee Laberge) for 57 years. The best father to Jo-Ann Russell-Gyorffy, Andrew and Bruce (Joy Moeller). Much loved "Papa" to 5 Grandsons: Christopher, Michael, Matthew, Evan and Bryan. An avid curler and long time member of Old Oakville Probus, Alex will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at Kopriva-Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, on Saturday February 4th at 11:00 a.m.; a memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m., followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "Community Living Oakville" (CLO) or a charity of your choice.
