Alexander (Alex) Maraz, 93, of Grimsby, Ontario passed away peacefully on Thursday January 22, 2026 at the Wellington Park Care Centre, Burlington, Ontario.

Born on May 31, 1932 to John and Aranka in Hungary.  Alex came to Canada in 1956. He worked in the automotive industry at the Ford Assembly Plant in Oakville from which he retired at the age of 65.

In his retirement Alex enjoyed travelling with his wife. He also spent time gardening, enjoying photography, baking and cooking.

Alex is survived by his wife Rose, two children Suzanne (Mark) and Kathy (Sig), two grandchildren Victoria and Katie, and his sister Margret.

He is predeceased by the death of his parents and his brothers John, Leslie and Jeno.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2026 from 5-8 pm at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ontario.

A funeral service will take place Wednesday January 28 at 11:00 am also at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home.
