Obituary

Alexander William Lichacz Jr beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, after a long battle with brain cancer complications.

Alex was born in Toronto on January 23, 1968. Very early in life Alex found his passion for sports. Most importantly his favorite years were playing football for Northern Secondary School where he met his lifelong friends.

Alex's desire to always be a leader and protector on and off the field led him to become a proud member of the Toronto Police Service at 53 Division for over 20 years.

Alex's presence was larger than life with his quick wit and sarcasm. His personality filled any room he walked into.

Alex was predeceased by his parents Mary and Alexander Lichacz.  He leaves behind his beloved wife Leanne (Hooper) and will always be known as the dad who stepped up for their four boys Zander, Brodie, Jordin & Jax, his sister Louise Lichacz, brothers-in-law Chris (Paige) & Colin (Louise) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The stories of Alex's antics will forever be etched in the minds of anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. His four stepsons will carry on his legacy with pride, teaching others the true meaning of loyalty, protection and unwavering love and devotion.

A celebration of life will be held in Alex's honor on Thursday, May 29th between 5-9pm at the West Avenue Cider House, 84 Concession Rd 8 East, Freelton, ON L8B 1N7.
