Alexander (Sasha) James Longwell

January 26, 1989 – February 13, 2018

Died suddenly after a Sisyphean battle with addiction, in the Town of Oakville. Beloved son of mary duncan (John Brewer) and Kevin Longwell (Colorado), cherished partner of Shawna Ferguson, grandson of Penny "Nana" Johnstone and the late Merle and Shirley Longwell (Nebraska).  Brother of Matthew Longwell (Jenna),  Jessica and Camilla Brewer, nephew of David Duncan (Kentucky), uncle to Brody and dogfather to Hudson.  Alex is survived by aunts, uncles and cousins in Mitchell, Bayfield, Windsor and Ottawa, in Nova Scotia and throughout the United States.

Alexander was a graduate of T.A. Blakelock High School and a lifelong Bronte Boy. He leaves behind many, many friends from around the GTA.

Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) on Thursday February 22, from 6-9pm. Funeral service and reception will be held at the same location on Friday February 23 at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides will be gratefully acknowledged.
