Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, in his 83rd year. Alex, beloved husband of Grace Eleanor. Loved father of Anne and her husband Martin Jackson and James and his wife Pamela. Cherished grandfather of Derek, Claire and Hannah. Alex enjoyed playing his bass fiddle with the St. Anne's Music and Drama Society and the Oakville Chamber Orchestra. A private family service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to all the doctors and staff at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, with gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Dialysis Unit. If desired, memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Central Ontario Branch, 700-15 Gervais Drive, Toronto, ON M3C 1Y8 would be appreciated by the family.
