It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alan Farrer this week, in his 71st year.

Alan is survived by his soul mate Jennifer (nee Bradley), their sons Geoffrey (Heather), Patrick and Brendan (Shauna), and his loving grandkids and best friends, Claire and Lucas Farrer.  His boys meant the world to Alan, and he to them.  We will miss him dearly. He was pre-deceased by his father Andreas and his mother Hedy.  His brother Mark (Siobhan) and his sister Anna  (Phil Belec) and their children also are left to mourn him.

Alan was born in Montreal, raised in Beaconsfield, and then moved to Ontario where he attended Western , and thereafter moved to Oakville where he proudly raised his family.  And while he called Oakville home for most of his life, it was the West Island and his beloved Habs that always held a special place in his heart.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 31st, from 12:00 to 2:30 pm, at The Bronte Boathouse, 2340 Ontario Street in Oakville. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital via the Oakville Hospital Foundation in Alan's memory.
