With quiet strength and courage, Agnes passed away peacefully at home in her 81st year with her family by her side, on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. The beloved wife of 61 years to Hans, and loving mother to Gisele and mother-in-law to Marvin Maunula. Hans and Agnes immigrated to Canada from Germany in August 1957. They settled in Thunder Bay for 45 years before moving to Oakville to be closer to family. Oma will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Michelle (Mark), Karen (Jeff), Jodie (Todd), Ryan (Jackie); great-grandchildren, Brittany, Tanner, Mallory, Makensie, Scott and Kelsey; sisters, Waltraud Heller (Horst) and Karola Henschen (Harry); and many other friends and relatives in Germany and Thunder Bay. Relatives and friends are invited to the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Thursday, March 6th, from 7-9 p.m. for visitation and on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. for a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital or Christ Our King Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
