Adaobi Nora Nduka (nee Uzonwanne), a beloved wife, mother, Sister and dedicated healthcare professional, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2025.
Born in Ihiala, Anambra State, Nigeria, to late Sir Cletus Nsofor Uzonwanne (KSM) and late Lady Okwuonye Eucharia Uzonwanne (LSM) on November 6, 1976, Ada spent her early years in Warri, Delta State. She attended Ogbe Primary School and Our Lady's High School in Effurun, followed by a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
When she moved to Canada, Ada retrained becoming a Registered practical Nurse through studies at Mohawk College after she had pursued professional development in Organizational Leadership at Humber College and Supply Chain Management at Seneca College. This change to the health care field was driven by her desire to care for and serve others.
Ada had a successful accounting career in Nigeria, working at Zerock Construction ltd, Portharcourt, Nigeria. In 2015, she relocated to Canada, where she continued to excel professionally, holding positions at Computershare Company Canada, Joseph Brant Hospital Burlington, and Acclaim Health.
Ada married Chike Henry Nduka in 2012. They were blessed with a daughter, Ijemunachukwu Uriel, and welcome twins later in January 2025 through surrogacy.
Known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support, Ada was a true friend and a source of strength to many. Following the loss of their mother, she lovingly and selflessly cared for her two younger sisters, Nkiruka Nwobi and Obiageli Uzoka, for the past 23 years.
Ada will be deeply missed by her husband, Chike Henry Nduka; their children; her mother in law Ogbuefi Anedi Ursula Nduka; her siblings, Chinedu Uzonwanne, Afadi George, Nkiruka Nwobi, and Obiageli Uzoka; brothers-in-law, Ogbuagu Ignatius Nduka, Regis Nduka, Stanley Nwobi and Ifeanyi Uzoka; sisters-in-law,Tina Ojobo-Nduka, Pascallia Weke, Onyenma Nduka; nephews; nieces; and a wide circle of family, friends, and colleagues.
Visitation to be held 8:30am to 9:30am Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville. Ada's funeral will be held at 10:15am Saturday, Feb 1, 2025 at Mary Mother of God, 2745 North Ridge Trail, Oakville.
